Journey Christian Church has been a strong missions-minded church since our founding in 1956. Today, we support 18 missionary families in 7 foreign countries plus the United States as “Focused Partners” – close relationships with regular and frequent involvement. We are a strong proponent of personal involvement in missions through prayer, finances, and participation.
Prayer
We publish a Monthly Prayer Calendar for Missions as a prayer tool, listing a specific prayer request for one of our supported missionaries on each day of the month.
Finances
The Missions Board develops an annual Missions Budget which allocates missions giving to support our missionaries and to support mission projects and short-term mission trips.
Participation
We serve in missions locally throughout the year and also send teams of youth through adults on short-term mission trips to serve with some of our Focused Partners. Mission Sundays, held twice a year, provide an opportunity for visiting missionaries to share their ministries and short-term mission teams to report on their work for the Lord.
