Our Mission

We exist to make more and better disciples by the Gospel for the glory of God.

Make More Disciples:
Leading people to trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, beginning their journey of following Jesus with us.

Make Better Disciples:
Growing to be more like Jesus in our character and actions according to God’s Word (the Bible).

By the Gospel:
The Gospel is the “good news” that God saves sinners through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. This is the core message of the Christian faith necessary to become a follower of Jesus and grow as a follower of Jesus. We strive to make the Gospel central to everything we are and do.

For the glory of God:
Everything we do is for the purpose of glorifying God, which means to bring God to light. To “shine a spotlight” on the beauty, worth and greatness of who God is and what He does for all the world to see.

Our Core Values

The church treasures and lives out the Gospel in all of life.

The Gospel must shape and drive all that we are and do. We desire that the Gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected lie at the center of what we treasure, preach and teach. We are committed to bringing the church to a greater understanding and delight in the truth and power of the Gospel so that we increasingly love Christ and love one another. The Gospel of grace is what forms and motivates us in all that we do and say in our lives and relationships. (1 Corinthians 1:23; Romans 1:16; Colossians 1:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Worship of God
Through the Gospel God makes us passionate worshipers of Him.

The Gospel restores us to God and enables us to worship, love, and enjoy him today and forever. So as people of God, we are committed to exalt in God alone through Jesus Christ enabled by the Holy Spirit. We are passionate that our corporate worship is Gospel–centered, Word–saturated, and God–honoring as we sing, pray, read Scripture, give and preach. Our goal, as we worship together, is to magnify the greatness and sufficiency of God. We also are committed that our worship of God continues in our daily lives so that all of life becomes a witness to the greatness and glory of God. (Psalm 29:2; 95:6; John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Hebrews 13:15; Revelation 4:11; 5:12)

Teaching the Word of God
Through the Gospel God gives us new hearts to teach, hear, and respond to the Word of God.

The Gospel propels us to teach and apply the Word of God to our lives. We believe that all preaching and teaching, at whatever level or venue, must reflect the actual content and flow of the biblical passage tying into the ultimate storyline of the Bible. We believe that preaching and teaching should not only explain what is in the Bible, but should also bring our people to exult in the truth of the Bible as it is being explained and applied. For us, preaching and teaching is part of what it means to worship God. (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:26; Psalm 86:11; 1 Corinthians 2:14-16; 2 Timothy 3:16; James 1:22)

Making better disciples
Through the Gospel God calls us together for grace-driven transformation.

A disciple is someone who is learning to apply the Gospel to every part of life. We believe in the reproductive transforming power of the Gospel to make better disciples. So through the Gospel, our passion is to make disciples who confess their allegiance to Jesus in the face of a hostile world, live empowered by this grace to increasing reflect Jesus, and to sacrificially serve Him living out His mission no matter what. (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 6:40; 9:23; John 15:5; Romans 6; 12:1-2; 13:14; Colossians 3; 2 Peter 3:1-8)

Making more disciples
Through the Gospel God empowers us to make new disciples in our community and among the nations.

The Gospel is the only hope for all people. So we are radically and relentlessly committed to proclaiming the transforming Gospel to our community and to the nations with the goal of raising new disciples, strengthening churches and planting new churches for the glory of God. We believe that our church does not exist for itself, but to proclaim the glory of Christ and the cross, whenever and wherever we are, so that God would be worshiped and treasured. (Matthew 5:14-16; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16; 10:14; 1 Peter 2:9-10; 3:15)

Committed to the local church
Through the Gospel God creates local communities of disciples.

The Gospel produces believers who are called into the family of God called the local church. We are deeply committed to the local church as the principle place where God is working out His purpose in the world and in people’s lives. We believe that active participation in a local church is not only worthwhile, but essential for the spiritual growth of believers and for the spread of the Gospel to all peoples. (Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 12-14; Hebrews 10:24-25; Revelation 1:4)

Gathered in Community
Through the Gospel God brings us into the family of God.

The Gospel brings us, as the people of God, to live life together as a family for the fame of Jesus. We believe that community is a declaration of the overwhelming love of God and a tangible proclamation of the reconciling work of the cross. We are convinced that we find our fulfillment when we share our life with Christ together. So we are committed to live our lives together transformed by Christ’s sacrificial love as we help one another increasingly take on the likeness of Christ in all our relationships for the glory of His name. (John 13:34-35; Ephesians 3:19; 1 Corinthians 12; Hebrews 10:24-25)

Through the Gospel God calls leaders to shepherd others into conformity to Christ.

The transforming power of the Gospel produces leaders who equip and enable people to live out the Gospel, and a church gladly submits to and supports the leaders. We are committed to train up biblically qualified leaders who are passionate to defend the faith, equip others, and shepherd the church so that we reflect and spread the glory of Christ. We believe that the foundation of all leadership is Christ as the head of the church, along with a plurality of biblically qualified leadership called pastors/elders who are called to lead and shepherd the flock of God entrusted to them. (Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; 1 Peter 5:1-4)

United with the greater church of Christ
Through the Gospel the Spirit unites us to the worldwide church.

As a local church, we affirm that we are united with the greater church of true believers which is committed to proclamation of the Gospel and the exaltation of Jesus Christ. We celebrate that we are part of something bigger than ourselves, and rejoice that the church is expanding and growing among all peoples. We are committed, when appropriate, to praying with and partnering in ministry with the larger body of Christ to proclaim the glory of Christ. We acknowledge that this blood-bought unity with the larger church is a witness to the transforming power of the Gospel which has broken down ethnic and cultural barriers to make us brothers and sisters in Christ. (John 13:34-35; Ephesians 2:22-24; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 5:9-10)
