Passions & Hobbies
My passions are my faith and my family. For hobbies, I enjoy woodworking and researching my family tree.
Life changing moment
When I was about 10 years old, some neighbors invited my parents to a home Bible study where they came to understand the Gospel for the first time and they both put their faith in Christ. This totally changed the trajectory of our family. A short time later, my sister and I both put our faith in Christ as well, due to the influence of my parents and the new church that we had started to attend.
Favorite Bible Story
I have always loved the account of Paul’s conversion. It’s amazing how God stepped in and opened the eyes of a man who had rejected Christ and was persecuting his followers, and turned him into the most effective missionary the world has ever seen. This shows that no one is beyond hope, so we should never stop praying for friends and family that don’t know the Lord.
What I want my legacy to be
I would like to be known as someone who loves God, and loves my neighbor.
Person who had a significant impact on my life
My father is the person who has had the biggest impact on my life. He modeled what it looks like to be a man of faith. Most of what I know about being a loving husband and a godly father I learned from him.
People would be surprised to know that…
I have ancestors that came to America on the Mayflower.
I am married to a wonderful wife Debbie. We have three grown children, Dan, Kristen and Allison, who have blessed us with six (soon to be seven) grandchildren. Since they live out of town (Pittsburgh, PA, Charlotte, NC, and Baltimore, MD), we end up spending a lot of time travelling to see them!

Favorite Sports Team
I started following baseball in 1969, the year the “Amazing Mets” won the world series! I have been a Mets fan ever since.
After growing up in Connecticut, I came to Rochester to go to RIT, where I majored in Imaging Science. After graduation, I went to work for Kodak who sent me to grad school at the University of Rochester, where I received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Optical Engineering.
