Given the fact that most, if not all, of us at some point need to find solutions to life’s painful problems, Journey Christian Church provides a counseling ministry to help individuals, couples, families, and children. A full-time counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist is available to assist Journey attenders.
All of us are familiar with having to deal with the normal stresses and strains of daily living. Consequently, there are times when we could benefit from talking with a trained counselor about our concerns.
Types of Concerns:
Counseling is designed to provide services to individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children. The following are examples of types of situations that may lead to counseling:
•Parents who have questions about their child or their parenting methods.
•Children and their families who experience frequent problems in daily living.
•Individuals with spiritual life concerns.
•Couples or families who are experiencing stress in their relationship(s).
•Couples or families facing divorce.
•Children and adolescents who are having difficulties in school and/or in the family.
•Individuals who would like to overcome bothersome behaviors or habits.
•Individuals who have experienced emotional, physical, or sexual abuse.
•Children, adolescents or adults who are dealing with loss and grief.
